Caring is for nice girls

Let me start off by saying, that putting your best interests first should never be considered a bad thing. Ladies, we have got to consider ourselves as star players and move accordingly. The definition of a Girl Boss is:

A woman who is never afraid to woman up and do what ever she can to be independent and BOMB. She fends for herself and is always about her business.

With that said here are a few tips to keep you focused and in charge of your destiny.

If he’s dragging you down, cut him loose.

In some cases, this is harder said than done. Yes, I get it, you love him and you probably can’t see your life without him but let me ask you a few questions. Does he motivate you? Does he encourage you? Are you stagnant? Stuck in the same place and position you were last year? Are you growing as a couple, or are things continuously passing you by?

Most of the time the smallest things irritate you and you end up taking it out on everyone else except your partner. Your mood swings are off the charts and you become unrecognizable to the people who know you best. Girl, It’s not worth it. Never allow him (your present boyfriend or ex) to hold you back from your true potential. Boss up and let it go, mama, you’ve got work to do!

#2 Hustle baby hustle!

Work your hardest for the things you want most. Your friends should be able to say to you “Yes, girl! I see you out here hustling for what you want most and turning your dreams into a reality. You Poppin or whatever!” Strive to be the epitome of a #girlboss. Let’s get it!

#3 Always be one step ahead of the game

Listen, you have to STAY READY! Don’t let anything catch you off guard if you can avoid it. How awesome is it when you have the ultimate Olivia Pope moment. Everyone THOUGHT you would crumble but you sidestepped the issue and walked out of the “arena” like Katniss Everdeen. They mad, or nah? Ha! That’s right girl, stay focused know your stuff and let the haters continue to hate.

#4 Find out who matters and who doesn’t

If there’s one thing I’ve learned in my 27 years of life it’s that some people are placed in your life for a reason, and others are there just for a season. Surround yourself with people who encourage and motivate you to be the best version of yourself. Being a Girl Boss means you’ve got it handled but having a support system of family and friends can make things a lot easier.

#5 Be fearless

Everything you do tackle it with confidence and loads of positive energy. Dream big! Who cares if you fail at some things along the way – that’s a part of life. Girl Bosses don’t allow their faults or mistakes to drag them down; instead, they use them as motivation to be better the next time around.

And that ladies is the end of my rant. Thanks for reading – please be sure to like, share and subscribe!

Over and Out!

Xoxo,

Daé Daé

I love all of this!! I think the most important lesson I’ve learned in life is how important the people who surround you are, and to only keep the good ones!

Yassssss, thank you, Alison girl! That’s 100% true, you have to be careful of the people you allow into your circle. Some people do nothing but spread negativity.. and ain’t nobody got time for that!

Yes and yes! Agree with all of these, especially #4. Learning and always paying attention to who matters and who doesn’t is key to less stress and having the right people in your corner.

YES, EXACTLY Lynn. Less stress sounds good to me lol – the last thing any of us should have to put up with are people who spread nothing but negative vibes. I no longer have the patience to deal with people like that.
